Join us for a fully guided historical Cotton Tree Tour, specially organized for the subscribers of JAMAICA WITH IRIE!
Apart from the visit of the ancient and largest Cotton Tree in Jamaica, this unique journey will also take you to the key locations in the former St.John Parish, which was one of the original seven parishes established by the English when they first seized control of Jamaica in 1655.
The areas now known as Kitson Town and Guanaboa Vale, was at the center of these events.
Our guide for the tour is Kennedy Reid, a resident of Kitson Town, who modestly describes himself as an 'amateur historian.' However, it was his extensive research that uncovered many details about Kitson Town's history, bringing attention to the community.
This led to the creation of the Kitson Town Heritage Trail, with key landmarks, such as the biggest Cotton Tree. Mr. Reid has published a book on Kitson Town, available for purchase on Amazon.
